On April 24, 2026, the conference “Climate Resilience in Attica 2026” at the Goethe-Institut in Athens, Greece brought together key actors in disaster response. The goal: strengthening disaster risk reduction and climate resilience throughout the Region of Attica.
Disaster risk reduction is not the responsibility of one institution alone; it is a shared mission that belongs to all of us. Representatives from the Region of Attica, municipalities, the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, the Civil Protection Academy, EKAV, PESYDAP, academia, and international organizations shared critical experiences and practical solutions.
Resilience Depends on Coordination What made this conference truly significant was the collective commitment to action. Co-organized by OlamAid, KEAN, and the German Embassy in Athens, the event highlighted a central message: resilience is rooted in coordination. By bringing all actors to the same table, we foster the trust and partnerships necessary to create safer and more resilient communities.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers, participants, and partners who enriched this conference with their expertise and dedication. An event of this scale thrives on the exchange of ideas and the commitment of every individual to contribute to a safer future.
Together, we make the difference. Thank you for your participation and your tireless commitment!
